Xplor California focuses on treks, trails and outdoor spaces in California, the “shining beacon of opportunity” located on the West Coast of the United States. The state’s brightness dimmed a little during the recession but California remains one of the largest economies in the world. It also continues to be the most populated state of the Nation, and houses eight of the top populated cities in the U.S.A., with Los Angeles topping the charts. California is also the third most extensive in size, after Alaska and Texas.
Despite its enormous population, California offers a diverse geography of unspoiled lands from much of the Pacific Coastline to the Sierra Nevada Mountain range, from Sequoia National Park to the Mojave Desert from islands with snorkeling to peaks worth hiking. The state is also home to the highest and lowest points in the contiguous states: Mount Whitney and Death Valley. California’s variety offers an endless supply of activities… there is definitely something for everyone!
The aim is to make these pages informative and inspiring so you get out there and explore California.
