Success! With your amazing help XplorMor International is lighting up the lives of Cambodian school children!
The first project and fundraiser from XplorMor International Non-Profit is a success. Solar power, along with lights, fans and electrical outlets for computers, were installed in the children’s school at Run TA-Ek Eco Village that is located near Siem Reap, Cambodia. The eco-village is one of the first all solar homestay projects in Cambodia. Its goal is to alleviate population pressures at Angkor Archaeological Park, a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. The goal is to make the school sustainable, comfortable and productive for the children’s education development. And, to pave the way for future advancements like computers.
Run Ta-Ek Eco Village
Run Ta-Ek is a partnership between the APSARA National Authority (Cambodia’s Authority for the Protection of the Site and Management of the Region of Angkor) and the Khmer people living around and inside Cambodia’s Angkor Archaeological Park. The focus is on eco-tourism, creating jobs, education and a sustainable future for villagers who move out of Angkor to Run Ta-Ek. Run Ta Ek serves as a model for additional future eco-communities that will continue to help relieve human impact on Angkor.
