The Entomology Department of the University of Georgia and XplorMor International Incorporated conducted the Cuba Entomology Research Expedition in May 2015. The expedition was a photographic field survey of insects in three diverse regions of Cuba. Here are the Cuba Entomology Research Expedition Published Findings:

Parque Nacional Cienaga de Zapata, Reserva de la Biosfera de Zapata (Cienaga de Zapata National Park and Biosphere Reserve) – On the UNESCO Tentative List for World Heritage Status as UNESCO World Heritage Site No. 1801, Zapata already stands as a protected Biosphere Reserve. This enormous swampy outcrop is home to lush tropical and mangrove forests and underwater cave systems. The area remains mostly untouched and unexplored.

Parque Nacional de Viñales, Valle de Viñales (Vinales National Park) – UNESCO World Heritage Site 840 , Viñales Valley lies in the western region of Cuba in the mountain range known as Sierra de los Organos. The valley offers an exceptional karst landscape surrounded by rolling mountains and dotted with spectacular dome-like limestone outcrops, known in Spanish as mogotes.

Parque Nacional y Reserva de la Biosfera de Guanahacabibes, Peninsula de Guanahacabibes (Guanahacabibes National Park & Biosphere Reserve) – Designated a UNESCO Biosphere and on the Tentative List as part of UNESCO World Heritage Site No. 1802 titled Reef System in the Cuban Caribbean, the landscape of Guanahacabibes ranges from coastal plains and coral reefs to tropical dry forest.
